Wednesday might be the best day for skeptics of Chipotle to eat there.
As KIRO Radio’s John Curley points out, the 43 restaurants will be the cleanest they have ever been since first opening in the Pacific Northwest.
“Tomorrow is the day to be there,” Curley said. “It will never, ever be cleaner than it will be tomorrow.”

Chipotle closed its restaurants amid an E. coli outbreak. The outbreak was traced to 11 restaurants in Oregon and Washington. Tests at the Mexican food chain came back negative for the bacteria. The restaurants are expected to reopen Wednesday or Thursday.
John Curley: It will never, ever be cleaner than it will be tomorrow. That will be the cleanest burrito you’ve ever had. You won’t be able to find a finger nail, a hair or anything. In fact, that’s how they should be selling it.
Though Chipotle will reopen, health officials have not found the cause of the E. coli outbreak that began last month. About 40 people reported getting sick. However, they concluded there is no ongoing risk of illness.
KIRO Radio’s Tom Tangney says it will be interesting to see what kind of financial hit they take.
If people are worried about getting sick, Curley says it might be best to stick with the meat and drop the vegetables. Or, let someone else eat there first and see what happens.
JC: I used to say it’s like a canary in the coal mine. Send my father in first to get the cheese steak, then wait a couple of days to see what happens.
