Though David Boze thought that Cathy McMorris Rodgers’ rebuttal to Barack Obama’s State of the Union speech was “forgettable in terms of content,” he noticed a particularly vile reaction to the speech from liberals.
On Twitter, alleged feminists and leftists excoriated McMorris Rodgers, a Congressman representing Spokane and other parts of Eastern Washington, for the tiniest things.
“It was forgettable in terms of content, however, you leave with an overall feeling of, you like this person, this person seems nice, seems to care about ideas, care about people,” Boze said of the speech.
“But on the left, you had absolute crazyville,” Boze said.
Some said that McMorris Rodgers appeared like a “Stepford wife,” or complained that she was sitting next to a “depressing” unlit fireplace. One person, a Washington DC resident, hated that McMorris Rodgers called our state the “real” Washington.
One woman on Twitter said that she wanted to rip out a piece of McMorris Rodgers’ anatomy so she could “see the surprised look on her frigid face.”
A big topic of discussion on Twitter was why she gave her speech while sitting on a couch.
“Why was Cathy McMorris Rodgers sitting on a couch – do Republicans think women can stand and speak, but not at the same time?” Boze read from a tweet. “You have the left looking at this thing and saying, there’s got to be a special meaning to the couch. It’s part of the Republican war on women.
“So, the biggest most informative thing about the Republican response is the far left base radical response to it,” Boze said.
