It’s common to hear songs blasting through the sound system at a basketball game, but Macklemore isn’t pleased his is getting play in Oklahoma.
“Oh hell no,” the Seattle hip hop artist Tweeted on Monday after hearing his ‘Can’t Hold Us’ is being used to get the crowd pumped up at OKC Thunder games.
The song hit No. 1 on the Billboard charts last week, the second chart topper for Macklemore and Ryan Lewis following the massive success of ‘Thrift Shop.’
Macklemore is a big lifetime Sonics fan who has shown support for the return of an NBA team to Seattle, signing a petition earlier this year along with a number of other notable local musicians urging city leaders to do all they can to get the NBA back in Seattle. The Sonics were moved from Seattle to Oklahoma in 2008.
