    Good for him
I am not interested in the "best player available," all that got us was Rik Mirer,Shawn Springs,Curry,Dan McGuire,Jerramy Stevens,Brian Bosworth and Andy Heck type players. I want to see a player who has been frustrating QB's, or been triple teamed, or a o-lineman who is a Walter Jones/Steve Hutchinson/Lincoln Kennedy pro bowl lineman, who is flying below the radar as a low first,or high second rounder. as far as the QB? Cut CW, and bring in Texans Yates, and give T-jack,who I like, a challenge for the our starter.

Not sure exactly what you mean. If a guy is frustrating QBs, being triple-teamed, or is a pro bowl lineman like the guys you mentioned, they are probably going to fall into the category of "best player available" and won't be flying under the radar as someone you can steal in a later round. If I remember right, Walter Jones was picked like 6th overall and first O-lineman taken in his draft class, Hutchinson was picked like 15th and was one of the highest (if the THE highest) LG ever drafted and Lincoln Kennedy was also either top five or top 10 despite being a diabetic. So you won't be finding those caliber players flying below the radar. And how many low picks, backups and scratch ticket QBs are we gonna have to bring in before we get our franchise QB? Just because they had high pick QB busts in the past like Mirer, McGwire and Stouffer, it doesn't mean that they have to quit targetting premium college QBs with high draft picks. You can forget the Tom Brady as 6th round pick argument because it'll probably be a hundred years at least before anyone quite like him comes along again. It's all about the odds and you're gonna get far better odds of hitting paydirt at QB with the likes of Luck, RGIII, Barkley, Stafford and other high draft picks then you are going with total nobodies, backups, and lower round picks.

    Best player available?
If you're going to argue best player avalable, why not argue for drafting the guard David DeCastro from Stanford? They guy is compared to Hutchinson and Gallery was distinctly unimpressive. WR is one of the positions of least need on the Seahawks but they're always running out of linemen.

That being said, it really depends on what they do in free agency, if they can pick up Mario Williams and possibly even a QB then I'd be tempted to trade down and grab one of the top RB's, perhaps David Wilson...after Lynch the Seahawks are pretty shaky at RB.

    The Seahawks1st Round Pick
Lets look at this rationally. Firstly what are the Hawks needs, and what can we expect as far as talent available at the 12 pick. I have the Hawks number 1 need as upgrading the QB position with either a franchise type player in the draft or a free agent with good credential. If the Hawks do as i expect them to do, they make a real effort to sign Peyton Manning as there is no QB worth the 12th pick in the draft after Luck and RG3, if Manning can pass a physical he would be the best option avilable for these reasons. He costs you no players of your roster, he leaves you your draft in tact and if healthy gives the Hawks the best chance to win a Super Bowl in the next 2 years. 2ND Biggest Need - a speed pass rusher, not just a DE with speed. Quinton Coples and Melvin Ingram are DE's with speed and may be available at 12 although i think Jacksonville takes Coples at #7. While both these players are solid DE's they are more Chris Clemons types, while players like Whitney Mercilus, Nick Perry are speed rusherS, WE DON'T HAVE ONE a guy you can put on the end or inside and let him go on passing downs. 3RD take the best player available, it never hurts your team to do so. As far as targeting a WR a position of strength and going after him in the 1st round is stupid, and thats all i have for this article.

agree with the guard situation and F/A situation. But as for RB not to sure. Robinson, Lynch, and Washington are good trio. I agree we should look at another Beast style running back this year. As I don't seeing the beast back after this year if they franchise him, it will be one and done contract unless he takes the lid off. I am all for more protection on the OLine as we have been banged up the past few years. F/A should cover our needs at QB with Flynn and Williams on the out side if he's not to expensive. My only Williams worry is that he gets banged up frequently. This year should be a break out year for the Hawks. Should be very interesting as the pieces are coming into place and now we need to address the QB. With Carlson and Miller on the outside will open up the field for a lot of possibles of the other receivers so I love this guy but don't think we need to address the receiver corp. To bad Carlson was knocked out last year. Flynn competing with TJack of the spot would make them both better and should provide us with a solid #1 and #2.

Robinson is a FB, Lynch is good, Washington I'm less impressed with as a RB. Last year he had 248 yds and 48 of those came on 1 run. He's pretty hit and miss, he rarely breaks tackles.

I like David Wilson, but I think RB is one of the depest positions in this year's draft...there are a number of decent RB's that can be had other than Wilson, I just like his shiftiness, but there are bigger backs like Doug Martin from Boise or maybe even Turbin from Utah st. and I saw 1 mock draft that had the Seahawks taking Tauren Poole from TN in the 5th round. Plenty of options, but I would like to see a RB drafted. I'd also like to see another TE drafted...I haven't been impressed with Carlson since about his rookie year. He's slow and it seems like he's always dropping critical passes.

As for QB...I honestly haven't seen enough from Flynn to energize me in that direction. If you watch the TD's in his 6 TD performance, in most cases the receiver made some great move to creat the TD or the defense flat out blew the play...it wasn't as much his play. That's not to say he's bad, just that the one game that he has to hang his hat on is not as spectatular as the numbers make it look.

I agree that Williams has had some problems with injuries and that is concerning. One of them was a pectoral muscle tear...I don't think those are chronic sorts of injuires like a knee injury might be.

Several mocks have the seahawks taking Kuechly...I watched a little of him on youtube and he was usually around the ball, but far too often he was tied up on a block.

Getting Flynn is far from a done deal. At this point in time it's considered unlikely he'll end up with the Hawks with the Dolphins being considered his most likely destination. As for RB, the Hawks should seriously look at Lamar Miller. He could end up being a big-time talent in the NFL and would be a perfect change of pace to Lynch. Miller's more speed than power but might have the best combination of both, or at least comparable to Richardson, Richardson being more power than speed. And if Lynch gets hurt I think Miller has what it takes to take over the starting spot and rack up some carries without wearing down. As far as the QB situation goes, unfortunately the Hawks are suddenly very thin on options. After winning their way out of draft position and Barkley and Landry Jones opting to return to college for another year, it's looking more and more like Tjax is gonna be at the helm again. Only other two possibilities I can see right now are Flynn, who you mentioned, or Peyton Manning if Manning gets his arm strength back.

A game changer. A playmaker who can win games. We've used the draft the last few years to build the line, now its time to add raw talent in the primetime money positions. We need a marquee pro-bowl receiver who we can sign as a rookie and keep for long-term. Doesnt solve our other issues, but I trust our coacha and GM, they have a plan and it surely includes filling holes in the free agent market.
