House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi famously/stupidly said the GOP tax plan is “Armageddon” and boy, she wasn’t kidding. All you have to do is look at the latest Starbucks news.
White dude offended by Seattle ‘coziness’ rating
The Seattle coffee behemoth announced their US workers will get pay raises, stock grants, and new perks like paid sick time, all thanks to the GOP tax plan.
“Investing in our partners has long been our strategy, and due to the recent changes in U.S. tax law, we are able to accelerate some significant partner investments,” Chief Executive Kevin Johnson said in a letter to employees.
Is this what “Armageddon” looks like? Wow. I kinda like me some Armageddon! Someone grab me a grande blonde Americano!
Starbucks has joined a growing number of major corporations deciding to share their tax savings with their employees doing literally what the Left overwhelmingly said they wouldn’t. People are noticing.
Hey… I give credit when credit is due. @realDonaldTrump that tax return is lit 😂

This will make the midterm elections more difficult for the Democrats. I believe they’ll take control of either the House or the Senate. Historically, when one party is in power, the voters will give the minority party some power because we still have a general respect for healthy debate (perhaps the Progressive wing of the Democrats will understand that someday). But this makes their job more difficult and, perhaps, they won’t pick up as many seats as they’re hoping.
You can claim a GOP policy is a disaster and get away with that narrative in many cases, but not really when the companies we work for are telling us that the tax plan is the reason why we’re getting bigger paychecks. Every pay period, when we see less money kept from us — that we earned — followed by more memos explaining news perks were being offered, it’s kind of hard to identify with the Democrats who claim the very republic is crumbling.
