Snow fell late Tuesday night over parts of the northern region of Puget Sound to the Canadian border.
Reports of falling snow and rain came in just after 9 p.m. in Lake Stevens, Lynden and Sumas.
No significant accumulation was expected.
WSDOT cameras captured snow at about 10 p.m. falling at State Route 9 near Front Street in Sumas.
Rain is expected to return Friday evening into Saturday.
According to KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard, there is a chance of accumulating lowland snow in spots on Sunday (particularly early in the day), but specifics won’t firm up until later in the week and there’s a very good chance that the cold air and residual moisture won’t mix.
