I-90 floating bridge closed westbound due to high winds

The westbound lanes on the I-90 floating bridge across Lake Washington were closed Sunday afternoon due to high winds. The lanes were closed around 2 p.m. and re-opened just before 6:30.

Inspection began after 5 p.m. to determine when the bridge could be re-opened to traffic, according to the Washington State Department of Transportation’s Traffic Twitter account.
At 3:55 p.m., WSDOT reported that traffic was backed up to 150th Ave SE in the Eastgate area of Bellevue.
