A Silverdale woman has worked to secure laundry service for the volunteers at the scene of the Oso mudslide.
“Suds and Duds has very generously welcomed two batches or 200 pounds of laundry per day,” said Amy of Mount Vernon. “We have soap that’s been donated and we have volunteers and bags.”
Amy said they’ve set up a train system running the dirty clothes to the Darrington Community Center and then someone takes it down into Arlington where they pick up the clean load to take back.
Detergent donations are welcome.
Laundry schedule:
9am drop off of first batch (200lbs) and will be washed and dried.
Ready for pick up 2pm. Second batch (200lbs) drop off time is 2pm.
Second batch pickup is 8pm.
Email feedback@mynorthwest.com if you’re willing to be a laundry runner.
