Last night was John Curley’s final city council meeting in Sammamish.
John learned the hard way that leading the pledge of allegiance to start the meeting can sometimes get him a little emotional. Yes, sometimes he can’t help but have a little cry.
So to counteract any tears that might threaten his final words at the meeting Tuesday, he popped a couple pills often prescribed for breast cancer, to help prevent some unnecessary sobs.
It worked, for the most part, he only got a little choked up towards the end of his speech.
