Watch: Telekinetic video prankvertises ‘Carrie’

Sure, it’s a hidden camera gotcha-moment. But a YouTube video being used to promote the remake of “Carrie” is also a new method of advertising.
It’s called “prankvertising.”
In the video above, you get to witness how the producers are going to create the appearance of a woman going on a telekinetic rampage, a la “Carrie.”
The video shows the reactions from the unsuspecting coffee patrons.
KIRO Radio’s Andrew Walsh thought the reactions were a set-up. If the patrons in the coffee shop were supposed to be real, then why didn’t they see the props used in the set-up.
Producer Nick said the magic of the situation was in misdirection and the people walking into the coffee shop were probably pranked.
