TACOMA, Wash. – Two men, one with a gun, attempted to rob a girl scout selling cookies in front of a Tacoma store on Saturday evening, according to police.

Police say the girl and her mom were selling cookies outside a Fred Myer store on Pacific Avenue Saturday, March 10. Two men walked up to them at 6:22 p.m. One of the men asked the mother and girl scout if they had change for a $100 bill. He then revealed a handgun in his waistband. The mother said they had no money. The two men took off.

They did not get any cookies or cash before fleeing on foot, according to Loretta Cool with the Tacoma Police Department.

The suspects are believed to be in their late teens or early 20s and about 5’6″ tall. They had slender builds. Both were wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts and khakis.

Tacoma police and Crime Stoppers are offering up to $1,000 for information leading to their arrests. call 1-800-222-TIPS with any information about the case. Callers remain anonymous.
