Can Democrats really win by opposing the tax cuts?

President Trump packed a hangar at the Pittsburgh airport Saturday as he endorsed Republican congressional candidate Rick Saccone. Saccone is running in tomorrow’s election to replace Tim Murphy, who resigned for making love outside his marriage.

How do you change a toxic culture?

Interesting that President Trump would get the call, given the context. But the president was a big hit!

The crowd loves the tariffs. Loves the tax cut — or as the president called it, the “tax cut, cut, cut bill.”

Which brings me to the Democrats, who have been pushing to undo part of that tax cut, including the part that helps small businesses.

They want to use the money for roads and bridges. But I spoke with a long-time tax accountant I know, Don De Santis, who works in the trenches with a lot of small business. He did a projection with one of his clients.

“We’ve done a draft of their 2017 tax return and we took the exact same numbers and we projected that into 2018 and, wow, their tax was down like $6,000. As I said anecdotal evidence. So far, it looks like it’s working.”

We all like roads and bridges, but would you vote for someone who says I’ll build them if you’ll give back the $6,000 we just gave you?

Ross: Are we killing car culture? Or is car culture killing the US?

I don’t think the question is whether we're going to "kill" our car culture. The real question is can we stop our car culture from killing the U.S.?

The rent control bill died in the Washington State Legislature this week, even though Democrats control both houses.
