You’ll have to put those beach hammocks back in storage for at least another week or so as our March weather returns to normal.

Western Washington breaks March high temp records

After enjoying record-breaking temperatures Monday, March 12, forecasts show less sun and more rain.

KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard says we can expect scattered showers March 13-March 16. The weekend will be partly sunny.

Unfortunately, temperatures won’t come near what they were March 12, Allard says.

“After hitting 73, we’ll be at or below normal for the next week or so,” he added.

After a beautiful weekend, our weather continued not to disappoint Monday.

Sea-Tac Airport recorded a high of 73 degrees. Olympia, Quillayute, Hoquiam, and Seattle, which all recorded highs of 71. Bellingham had a high of 70 degrees. It was the earliest all those areas have ever recorded temperatures that warm, according to the National Weather Service.
