Bad singer booted from diverted New York flight

May 13, 2013, 5:02 PM | Updated: 5:08 pm

A woman singing a bad version of Dolly Parton’s “I Will Always Love You,” was escorted off of a flight from LA to New York Thursday evening.

Pilots put the plane down in Kansas City so air marshals could escort the woman in cuffs.

She was still singing on her way off the plane.

“As annoying as that might be, if I was on that plane, the last thing that I’d want is to be diverted for my safety because someone was singing off key,” said KIRO Radio’s Tom Tangney.

Others don’t necessarily agree with Tom. Luke said it sounds like a case of someone going all in after being told to stop.

“I think this must have been a case where this woman was very drunk or on some other substance. She started singing the song, the more people asked her to stop, the more she felt like it was her right as an American to sing this song,” said Luke. “It could have been anything.”
