Time for our first Shower Thoughts of spring. Let’s do this.

RELATED: Why you should not take your dog on vacation

I stepped on the scale today at 201 pounds. It’s been almost two years at that weight — 201 is better than 261 in every way.

 Seattle bans helpful websites?

I still can’t get over the Seattle City Council voting 8-0 to ban two websites that allowed landlords to find the market price for rent. Are they going to ban eBay, Cars.com, Amazon, and Expedia now too?

Don’t they essentially do the same thing? Set a price for a product and see how the market responds.

Space Needle suspicion

Anyone else a little suspicious of the new glass floors going in the Space Needle? I definitely want to check it out, but it’s A GLASS FLOOR! AT THE TOP OF THE SPACE NEEDLE!

Piercings

I have a question, and it’s not rhetorical. Someone please text the show. What’s the upside of having your lip pierced? I’ve seen this several times this week, and I don’t get it. Upper lip, lower lip, corner of the lip. Seems painful, difficult to keep clean, and annoyingly in the way. What am I missing here?

Mariners

Hey Mariners, I’m looking at you. Enough time has passed since the disappointing end to another disappointing season that my frustration has faded from last year. I want to jump on board again this year. I’m sure I won’t be able to resist going to games on beautiful summer nights. But as a reminder, just making the playoffs means you are in the top third of the league. So basically, getting a C+ grade. Not making the playoffs is a D. Making the playoffs once every 20 years is not good enough. Get it together for crying out loud.

Seahawks

Speaking of not making the playoffs, how exactly are the Seahawks going win any games this year? They are booting big-name players from the squad almost every day and signing no-name players. They have almost no draft picks. Hawks reporter Brady Henderson writes on ESPN, “After their first-round pick, No. 18 overall, they aren’t scheduled to choose again until No. 120, and of their eight selections in all, six are between the fifth and seventh rounds.”

This is going to be a team we do not recognize this year.

Concerts

And finally, start planning your summer concert calendar. Looks like it’s going to be a fun year. From Beyonce and Jay Z to Kenny Chesney. From the Foo Fighters to Brandi Carlyle.

I just bought my tickets for Bon Iver up in BC. Get out there and see some shows.

Time to dry off. That’s a wrap for shower thoughts.

You can hear “What are we talking about here?” everyday at 4:45 p.m. on 97.3 FM.

Sometimes, "gone but not forgotten" isn't always how slain officers are remembered. But in Pierce County, a special effort is being made to commemorate a fallen deputy.
