It’s safe to say it has been a wet couple of months in Seattle.

We’ve seen rain for more than half of the days so far this year, according to the National Weather Service.

It has rained 66 days in Seattle, according to the Weather Service. That’s 10 more than the normal 56.

Total rain since Jan. 1 is just under 15 inches.

Seattle has seen 56 days with cloud cover and 41 partially cloudy days. There have been five days that the National Weather Service considers to be “clear.”

Of course, Seattle isn’t alone.

At the coast, Hoquiam surpassed the monthly normal rainfall this week. A total of 5.30 inches was recorded through 5 a.m. Friday.

Inland areas will soon do the same. Seattle and Olympia will surpass normal monthly rainfall in the coming days. Seattle has had 2.36 inches of rain this month — normal totals are 2.71 inches. In Olympia, 3.39 inches of rain has fallen, just below the normal 3.54 inches.

A warm front will move across the region through Friday. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Friday through Saturday morning. Rainfall of up to 3 inches is likely on the coast.

Mass: Sea level rise is not from climate change

A Flood Watch was issued for some areas of Washington for the first half of this weekend. That includes Mason County. The Skokomish River could flood Friday night or Saturday.
