The King County detective who pulled a gun on a motorcyclist for reckless driving was suspended for five days without pay, The Seattle Times reports.

Sheriff: ‘We would make arrests’ if protesters blocked streets

Last summer, Detective Richard Rowe pulled a gun on the motorcyclist before identifying himself. He was off duty at the time. An internal investigation suggested that Rowe is suspended for 10 days due to his actions.

Rowe has been on paid leave since the video was posted in August, The Times reports.

Sheriff Mitzi Johanknecht plans to announce whether Rowe will keep his job on Monday.

Based on video footage, Detective Rowe stopped the motorcyclist, Alex Randall, for reckless driving. The incident occurred at NE 145th Street and Fifth Avenue NE in Shoreline.

At one point, the detective pulls Randall’s wallet out of his pocket prior to holstering his gun.

Former King County Sheriff John Urquhart said at the time, “that’s not the culture I want, that’s not the culture I will tolerate, and I will take swift action when I hear about it.”
