2. Play Doh's Create ABC's app

Second on the list is an app that costs $1.99 and has nothing to do with creativity, Linn says. "It may be cheap, but it costs your child a lot in terms of time with handling creative play."

Linn tells CBS Radio that tech toys look good but aren't always best for kids. "Children are already spending way too much time with screens and it's not good for them - especially young children.
