The latest forecasts are calling for temperatures to be in the high-70s by Thursday.

“You think about it, you were so out of balance,” KIRO 7 Meteorologist Nick Allard says. “It was so wet and so cool. This is just Mother Nature’s way of trying to balance back. We get heat for a few days and then we go back to the quote-unquote normal for the weekend.”

Seattle had more than 50 days with cloud cover between Jan. 1 and April 13. It also rained for more than half of those days, according to previous data from the National Weather Service. That changes this week.

Highs will be in the upper-60s Monday.

Temperatures could reach into the upper-70s Tuesday.

Things cool off a bit Wednesday, with highs in the low-70s.

On Thursday, temperatures are expected to reach into the upper-70s again, with a high of 78 degrees.

The rain returns by Friday.
