Let’s go over the red flags that were waving before this latest shooting at the Waffle House in Nashville.

RELATED: Being presumed innocent isn’t a luxury we all enjoy

For starters, police reports show that since 2014, the accused shooter, Travis Reinking, thought he was being stalked by Taylor Swift.

And then this red flag last June, as reported by CBS’s Mark Strassmann.

“He threatened someone with an AR-15, wearing a pink dress.”

After which he jumped into a swimming pool IN THE DRESS.

Then, a month later, Travis Reinking was arrested near the White House after demanding to see the president. He wanted to explain to Mr. Trump that he was a sovereign citizen. Instead, police in Tazewell County, Illinois, where he lived at the time, revoked his state gun permit, seized four weapons and the ammo, and turned it all over to his father for safekeeping.

RELATED: Have you talked with your doctor about gun control?

The father was told he needed to keep the weapon secure and away from Travis. The father stated he would comply.

And yet, it was one of those guns that were used last Sunday in a Waffle House where four people were shot dead.

It would be great if people like this got treatment so we could trust them with their arsenals.

But while we await that day, would it be too much to ask their families to quietly sabotage all of their weapons?

Ross: Are we killing car culture? Or is car culture killing the US?

I don’t think the question is whether we're going to "kill" our car culture. The real question is can we stop our car culture from killing the U.S.?
