A child was reportedly abducted from Tacoma’s DeLong Elementary School around 4 p.m. Monday.
“The child, possibly about 10 years old, was duct taped and put into the trunk of a car before being driven away,” KIRO 7’s Kevin McCarty reports.
Though the identity of the child is unknown, an Amber Alert has been issued for the incident. Officials are searching for an unidentified white male with a thin build, about 10 years old. He was seen wearing a blue sweatshirt and blue sweat pants.
The suspect is about 50-years-old, white, 5’6″ tall with a medium build. He has a gray beard and was wearing a fedora hat, sunglasses, a red-checkered flannel shirt and blue jeans.
The suspect was driving a gold or silver four-door Toyota, possibly a 2017 Camry.
Anyone with information call 911 or the Tacoma police tip line at 253-798-8477.
DeLong Elementary is located at 4901 South 14th Street in Tacoma.
