Seattle Public Utilities confuses carbon monoxide for dioxide

Seattle Public Utilities sent its customers a sheet of tips for preparing for winter, but the writer made a mistake – as pointed out by a Jason Rantz Show listener.
The tips warn people not to cook indoors with generators and barbecues to avoid carbon dioxide poisoning. DIOXIDE, which is what you and I exhale.
What SPU meant to say is MONOXIDE, as in a carbon monoxide alarm one installs to detect a buildup of potentially fatal gas in one’s home.
