Ben Shapiro announces he’s leaving AM 770 KTTH

Aug 19, 2015, 3:12 PM | Updated: 3:16 pm

Dear loyal listener,

I just wanted to write you to let you know that as of August 28, I have chosen to leave “The Ben Shapiro Show” on AM 770 KTTH in Seattle.

I’m leaving KTTH at this time in order to tend to my daughter’s health. We learned about two months ago that she had a hole in her heart; about two weeks ago, I had to take a week off the air in order to be with her in the hospital. Thank God, her surgery went well, and she’s expected to be fine. However, she does require close supervision so she doesn’t injure herself (they had to open her sternum in order to perform the surgery).

As my contract comes to an end at the end of the year and I now have additional obligations both in terms of family and other professional commitments, the wonderful folks at Bonneville have kindly agreed to allow me to cut out a few months early.

I will still be appearing at KTTH Freedom Series events this year, and I know that the great relationships I’ve cultivated in Seattle will carry forward. I can’t thank KTTH enough for the opportunity to become a part of the Seattle conservative battalion, and I look forward to fighting alongside you for the future of our country in new endeavors.

Thanks so much,
Ben Shapiro
