A taste of merry olde England isn't that far away from Western Washington. Victoria B.C. is a quick float plane ride away. Victoria is a great weekend destination with plenty of restaurants, shopping, culture and history. Not to mention gorgeous waterfront views. And if you take a float plane from Kenmore Air, the ride itself is an adventure. Flying at about a thousand feet, you'll see the San Juans up close and personal, and maybe even a whale or two! Sometimes the most interesting things to do are right under our noses. The Travel Guys hear from a lot of people that they've never visited some of our most popular places, like the San Juans or the Space Needle. Have you ever checked out Boeing's Future of Flight Aviation Center at Mukilteo? People come from all over the world to do just that. The Travel Guys want to hear about your favorite places to visit. Here's an encouraging trend in air travel: frequent flyer perks that don't expire! Way to go Delta, let's hope this is the start of a trend.
Do you expect other airlines will follow suit?

We're heading into a three day weekend for President's Day, and families all over the Northwest are asking "what are we gonna do?" Well, here's one answer for the whole family: Great Wolf Lodge. The Lodge is at Grand Mound near Olympia, and features an incredible array of indoor waterparks and overnight lodging. Got little ones and teenagers too? Great Wolf has water based and other activities for them all, and that should give Mom and Dad a chance to relax. I've personally never seen this, but fellow travelers tell me they have. And you can check out You Tube videos showing flyers puffing on those smokeless electronic cigarettes.
Now comes word that the government is going to do something about it news.yahoo.com/travel What do you think?

Seattle is full of music history, from Ray Charles to Jimi Hendrix and Grunge. But now you have a chance to experience music history up close and personal, by staying in the special Beatles Suite at the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle www.edgewaterhotel.com. This is the exact room where the Fab Four stayed on their first stop in Seattle in 1964. It's a luxurious suite filled with Beatles memorabilia, and includes a sound system with their music. There was so much hysteria surrounding the band, that the Edgewater had to install a special fence to keep screaming girls away. And this is the same room where John, Paul, George and Ringo fished from the window!
