Seattle mayor's race dead even

You can't wait any longer. Your election ballots are due Tuesday, and it's a statistical dead heat in the race for Seattle mayor.

It looks like a lot of you are waiting until the last minute to get your ballot in. The latest KING-TV Survey USA poll shows 12 percent undecided voters in the mayor's race.

Joe Mallahan leads Mike McGinn by two points (45 percent to 43 percent), but the margin of error is four points. This race is basically even.

That's not the case in the King County executive's race. The poll shows Dow Constantine ahead of Susan Hutchison by ten points (53 percent to 43 percent).

This is the first time Constantine has led Hutchison in a KING-TV Survey USA poll.

The first ballot results will be released about 8:15 pm Tuesday.

  Hutchison sits on the board of The Discovery Institute, the organization that's trying to push religious views into the science classroom. It would be nice for you to come back in a year and document how your doom and gloom prophesy is doing. And why do you assume those who don't own property all work in 'service jobs?' I guess now you'll have an excuse for being such a lousy tipper.

  It looks like a lot of king county voters are to stupid to know when their getting hosed. Must be real pleased with the way the county is being ran. Totally amazing.

  HLC, you shouldn't call others stupid while having so many grammatical errors in your own post; 'to stupid' should be 'too stupid' and 'when their getting hosed' should be 'when they're getting hosed.' Was Hutchison your English teacher?

Yea right - they wont get anything done either, and that means more of the same no matter who is in charge because to change the system at all - you have to vote everyone out and start over.   ...that "being ran" should be "being run." For completeness, naturally. Although, illiterate as he/she might be, HLC has sort of summarized my own opinion. I look forward to the recall vote when the details of Dow's sexual indiscretion case are made public later this month. I guess we can all surmise from this why it is that he supports abortion.
