Arlington man accused of killing burglar

The Snohomish County sheriff's office says an Arlington burglary victim turned into a homicide suspect when the body of the burglary suspect was found in a field.

The sheriff's office says a 38-year-old man was booked into jail Wednesday night for investigation of murder.

The body of a 25-year-old man had been found earlier Wednesday by a neighbor.

On Monday the 38-year-old man had reported he saw a man running out of his house and that some of his wife's jewelry was missing. The 38-year-old called later that day and said he saw the suspect again.

Neighbors later told investigators they heard gunshots Monday afternoon and that the homeowner said he had fired warning shots.

Stolen jewelry was on the dead man's body.

He ridded us of vermin the police won't bother dealing with. Good for him. I hope they pick me for the jury.

He probably got the runaround and...
obligatory phone call 4 hours later and decided to take care of the problem himself. The cops probably didn't bother going to his house. He's a hero in my book.

    Jewelry?.....JEWELRY??!!!
Isn't stealing jewelry kind of "old school" for a 25 year old thief? Sounds more like something from a black and white movie? Do crooks steal jewelry anymore? Are housewives in Arlington dripping in diamonds to the point where a 25 year old thief can tell the difference between real diamonds and fake diamonds? Does Wyatt Earp not have homeowners, or renters insurance to cover the loss of "The Royal Diamond Collection"? I'm no detective, but it doesn't take Sherlock Holmes to smell something fishy about all this.

Stevebo feels bad for the poor burglar?
What a pathetic response. What an enabler. I hope he gets broken into daily since he clearly cares more for the burglar than the victim. Oh, that's right, he probably thinks the burglar is a victim.

    Righteous....
I love it when criminals meet their just end. The crap about "old school thief...black and white movie...housewifes in arlington dripping in jewelry...bla bla bla" just shows the ignorance of some folks. I don't care if the theif stole a dog bowl, he trespassed and broke into someone's home, and took something that didn't belong to him. If there were NO thiefs, law abiding folks wouldn't NEED to spend hundreds of millions of dollars every year to some huge insurance giant to protect their lawfully obtained property in the form of homeowner's or renter's insurance. These vermin cost ALL OF US more money every year in the form of taxes, waste of police and other public resources (public defenders, courts, judges, probation officers, prison guards, etc). Like other vermin, they should be exterminated.
