Window washer survives 8 story fall
KIRO Radio
The Seattle Fire Department says a safety rope helped save the life a window-washer who fell eight stories from a downtown building.
Spokeswoman Dana Vander Houwen says the rope caught at the second story and softened the impact when the man hit the ground.
Sean Bradley was inside the building when he heard the man fall, "It sounded like a bunch of dishes crashing to the ground, then a big yell. I was like, 'what was that?'"
She says the 34-year-old man was conscious and talking to paramedics who took him to the hospital Thursday with non- life threatening injuries.
