Baby for sale on Craigslist

Here's an ad you don't see everyday on Craigslist: "Baby for Adoption."

Federal Way Police Officer Raymond Bunk said there's no evidence of a crime since private adoption is legal. Mainly, he said, they're concerned for her safety.

"We are attempting to get a warrant and we'll be attempting to find the IP address from where the Craigslist posting came from and conducting an investigation from there," said Bunk.

The ad claims a woman is pregnant and is looking for a well-to-do family to help with medical bills and adopt the child.

    Scam Alert!
My instincts are telling me that this woman is a scammer. Most likely she is pregnant and is just looking for a couple to foot all her bills and get whatever money she can from them, all the while the couple will be expecting to adopt her baby. Then she'll "change her mind" after the baby is born, which she can legally do. Sorry to be such a cynic.

    If theres no crime....
how will you ever get a judge to issue a warrent? Not exactly how we are suppose to do business!

put an end to this garbage
by telling KIRO to sign Kirby Wilber to replace Dave Ross.

    ok...
Seems to me a simple email using craigslist would solve this issue. No crime is happening and while it is unusual it's not unheard of. Honestly Kiro needs to stop the lies in their headlines. The kid isn't for sale, just up for adoption. Stop misleading people.

    Amen kidjon, sign Kirby!
But... I like Dave. Replace the unbelievably boring Brock & Salk on the sports station with Ron & Don and put Kirby on from 3-7!!!

    not a scam
I know of a couple living in Federal way that have sold not one, but three. She gets pregnant, and adopts out the kid time after time. She enjoys the pre birth care the adopting family provides for a while and usually ends up with a few thousand extra when all is aid and done and her kid gets to live with a well to do family. Sixk? Oy hes its sick. Shes sick and a nut case too.

    Scam?
It states that the adoption notice was an ad so it kind of would have been a "Baby for sale". Anyway, Craigslist is a strange place to post for wanting to adopt out a baby when there are so many agencies that assist with these situations. I hope it's not like what Tanya82 suggested. That would be sad.

    UPS Delivery?
Isn't a shame that all unwanted children can't be shipped to the Republican Party Headquarters?

at least they would be welcomed with open arms instead of being dumped somewhere or aborted like unwed Democrat mothers do with them.
