After signing on at News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM back in the waning days of the 1980's, Dan's worked his way up from the ranks- working as Desk Assistant, Morning Editor, Afternoon Editor, and Reporter before being kicked upstairs- making him a true mustang, to borrow Navy terminology. An East Coast boy, born and raised, he followed a girlfriend west and aside from a yearly jaunt back to the homeland, he's stayed put in the Northwest.
In addition to assignment and management duties, Dan does the News Talk 97.3 KIRO FM food reviews, "Stick a Fork in it," and is often handed bizarre feature stories that no one else would touch. Also read his blog, Food Musings.
Dan reads more than is healthy, cooks less than he likes, exercises only under compulsion, manages to dress himself without help about 80-percent of the time, and loves anything that is slightly askew. Thanks to the lack of federal regulation regarding just who is fit to be a parent - he has a teenage daughter who is in every way more wonderful and kind than he is (and a great deal more expensive to boot.)
