Email Tom
By day, Tom manages the chaos that is the newsroom, and by night, he sits in the dark, making snide comments about what he sees on the silver screen.
Tom, who has been at KIRO Radio since 1994, currently produces The Big Story @ 6 and is a proud member of the Broadcast Film Critics Association. In an earlier life, Tom worked as a movie theatre manager and projectionist. He also has taught writing at the University of Washington and worked as a document analyst for the Washington state attorney general's office.
Tom graduated at the top of his class at Seattle University, spent his junior year in France, and will forever be a dissertation away from a Ph.D. in English at the University of Washington. Tom loves books and movies, art and politics, and is a die-hard Husky football fan. His favorite city is Paris and his favorite vacation spot is a ramshackle cabin on Whidbey Island (no running water).
Tom lives in Seattle's Greenwood neighborhood (the new "Left Bank") with his wife and two daughters.
