I'm the "jack of all trades (master of none)" at KIRO, reporting (as well as serving as frequent whipping boy for Ron and Don and TBTL.)
I've been doing the news thing for over two decades, with experience as an award winning broadcast journalist and video producer in both radio and TV, stretching from Washington, D.C to Seattle, with stops in one-horse towns in between.
When not chasing a story (preferably with lots of really great sound) or traveling to Snoqualmie Pass at the mere mention of a possibility of snow, I continue clinging to my lost youth by playing bass in two local bands, "Dapper Jones" and "Ryan Purcell and The Next Round" (see MySpace for details), bike riding, hiking, golf and skiing.
I live in Seattle's Greenlake neighborhood with my wife Lisa, seven year old daughter Makena (and her growing collection of Hannah Montana memorabilia), miniature dachsund Mochi and kitten from hell Dash.
