I don't get it....why were kids playing in the street in front of a middle school? What were they playing, street hockey? At my kids middle school, they (more often than not) walk on the sidewalk or stay in the crosswalks, it isn't some kind of "free love..let's walk wherever the crap we feel like it monkey sexathon. Also, the speeds are 20 mph, so you DONT have to be making "freeway speed split second life or death decision making maneuvers".
