Oh yeah, add one large floral pattern. Please…No! Be original; throw in an animal print or a vintage jungle fabric. Neutrals will work, just remember to add texture. If you love big bright colors go for it! Add just one feature wall in a daring color such as grass green or tangerine orange. If you have pets, do not make your house too 'perfect'; velvet sofas and Persian cats are not a match! The difference between great design and so-so decorating is that well designed rooms feel coordinated yet the focus is on individualism, not perfectly matched fabrics. Throw in something unexpected like traditional furniture and modern art. Never match everything perfectly; instead design rooms to match your personality.
