So where are you going to find a DH like Edgar Martinez with a lifetime .312 batting average? You aren't, Edgar was a TOTAL freak, so get over it! I'm not a true baseball fan (unless you put a quality product on the field) so get over that one, too! It's fun to go to a game and have the crowd cheer for a guy, not because he is doinking a pop singer or wrapping his car around a telephone pole or even suffering from gigantism from being "juiced" (this guy fly's so far under the radar it puts you to sleep!), but to cheer for a guy just because of what he has brought to the city. He could probably step into the batters box with a wiffle ball bat and the crowd would go nuts. Go Mariners!

And that's what I'm feeling right now. RELIEF!!!! I am so glad that he'll be back for next season. Now if we can just get Banyan signed and the rest of the core players all healthy ready and fired up to go we'll do a lot better than what we did this last season.
