Mora's tone changing on skidding Seahawks

Coach Jim Mora has put his skidding Seahawks on notice.

Quarterback Matt Hasselbeck said Monday that Mora told his 2-5 team following Sunday's 21-point loss at Dallas that he was going to evaluate the organization from top to bottom.

The team captain says Mora's "very blunt" message was that if it "means firing somebody" heading into Sunday's home game against Detroit, then so be it.

The coach had been optimistic and upbeat throughout Seattle's many injuries and losses before the Cowboys blew them out.

Hasselbeck said that while some teammates are working harder to get better, "there are some guys just happy to have a job."

I don't know Jack about football.....
...but I never understood why Mora got the head coaching job a year before Holmgren left the position? That type of decision seems like a corporate move from a business standpoint, bringing someone up from the rank and file, rather than waiting until the season is over and seeing what head coaches with experience become available. I don't know, maybe it's the most brilliant move known to Seahawks football in this town since they turned Ken Behring's moving trucks around years ago?

I think Mora fits that description to a T. Seems like Mora should be put on notice too.

Since the GM insist on making bad move after bad move, why would you blame Mora?? Ruskells the one pulling ALL the personel moves including make Mora the HC. Can't wait until Ruskells gone, whoever takes his place better be full of fire and determination....TO WIN

Mora seems too nice for NFL Coaching
Mora might be a nice guy but nice guys with no strength or leadership abilities who are unable to inspire should not be coaching. I apologize but he appears to be weak and not confident enough to kick serious booty with the Hawks. The Hawks are not driven or inspired and that core initiative begins with leadership. Mora should step down and drive for Atlas Van Lines.
