Louis Rankin understands people look at his rise with the Seattle Seahawks and the release of Edgerrin James as corollary moves.

But Rankin says he doesn't feel any additional pressure just because the Seahawks are singling him out as one of the youngsters they hope can spark a so-far disappointing 2-5 season.

Rankin isn't sure how many touches he'll get on Sunday when the Seahawks host the Detroit Lions. But it's likely the former University of Washington star will get his first NFL carries, taking the role that James held until he was released by the Seahawks earlier this week.

    NO!!!!
Why did we sign Louis Rankin? I'm a Husky fan and I don't like him. We picked up a running back who can't run the ball and we don't have a line to protect him. This was a great idea. Oh yeah. I great idea. NOT!
