T.J. Houshmandzadeh says he's "shocked" with the fuss Seattle's making over him.

The outspoken receiver said Friday he's been getting messages from former teammates in Cincinnati asking why people on and around the Seahawks have been making a big deal about his angry gestures and comments about not getting the ball more.

Houshmandzadeh, who signed a $40 million, five-year contract in the spring, has just 35 receptions through seven games. He had 92, 112 and 90 catches in his last three years with the Bengals.

Last weekend he angrily gestured toward Matt Hasselbeck to throw the ball with more loft after he tried to zing a hard pass to the tightly guarded receiver in Dallas. The discussion continued at the bench.

    Maybe if....
You would catch it "more often" when thrown to you, it would be thrown to you more often..... Or maybe it needs to be thrown to you with more skill?? Uh oh.... a reciever saying what I and "some" others have been saying about "Matthew" for quite some time now?? The outrage!!!

    I don't KNOW....
The Bengals seem to be doing GOOD without him..LOL..... Maybe the problem is HOUSH......I think the Fans of the Seahawks have more respect for their QB and maybe HOUSH should know his place on this team....

RE: Housh is probably right in having frustrations....
but people in Seattle outrighly reject the kind of Housh circus on Seattle sideline. If Housh is frustrated with Matt or on his own performance their are better ways of expressing it rather than this Circus on the sidelines. It is unfortunate that even after playing preseason and 7 games into this 2009 season one of our prime WR is not on the same page with our QB..dont know if its coach's fault or the lack of efforts from both QB and WR to work out together and develop the rapport with each other. Bottomline this Seahawks roster and some of the coaches need to be re-evaluated based on their performance in the 2009 football season and Hawks front office need to make some bold and unpopular decisions to bring this team back on track....Seahawks front office need to be ruthless and brutal in making those brutal decisions about HAwks Team....they need to restructure the contracts of some underperforming and often injured players...need to inject new O-line talent as Priority-1 and improved secondary defence personnel, and the most important is get Mora, Greg Knapp and Gus Bradley the required persoonel for their systems to excel, rather than trying to change the playing style of current roster to suit their schemes...I am thinking this may be one of the "root" cause for current failure on both offence and defence...coaches dont have the right personnel for their O and D schemes to work right in Seattle.

    Give it to him
If he's going to complain then give it to him! He is one of the best receivers in the game right now, but if he doesn't catch the thing them tell him to shut up.

    i wonder
if his nickname has ever been Doushmanzadeh.

Houshmandzadeh's complaining reminds me of Largent
Oh wait, Largent ran his routes whether the ball was coming his wasy or not and he didn't wet his bed each night.

    our quarterback
is horrible! it's time to draft a quarterback this year! it should've happened long ago. it's typical of seattle teams though, they're too "nice" or trusting that, (enter player here), said player will rekindle their old selves and be ballers again. Get with it Seattle teams, grow some and get rid of the old baggage
