Seahawks CBs Trufant, Wilson have concussions

The Seattle Seahawks' two starting cornerbacks have been diagnosed with concussions.

Marcus Trufant and Josh Wilson didn't practice Wednesday, and Seahawks coach Jim Mora didn't specifically address their playing status for Sunday's game against Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings.

"We'll have a couple guys that might be limited (in practice), but nothing serious," Mora said.

Trufant, a Pro Bowl selection in 2007, was injured against Arizona last weekend. He returned to the game.

Wilson was injured in the same game when his head slammed off the leg of Beanie Wells and then the turf as Wilson tried to tackle the Cardinals' rookie running back in the second quarter. He also returned to play.

Seahawks quarterback Matt Hasselbeck resumed practicing. The three-time Pro Bowler had missed the previous two Wednesday practices because of broken ribs and a sore shoulder.

"Yes, that's a good thing," Mora said. "The last two Wednesdays, he's been somewhat limited. That'll help us continue to develop."

    Well Duhhhhh
Maybe if they tried using their arms in trying to tackle opponents instead of their heads they wouldn't have concussions. Its the same thing every game, missed tackles allow the other team to gain big years and get out of a jam or score and take the lead back if not extend it. Wake up and get your **** together you guys, we the fans are there for you, but you gotta do your part.

    Tru, penalties, injuries
If the NFL ever gave in to the temptation of hiring full time officials under the age of 60, with performance incentives, and stopped trying to escape the obvious concerns of fans who desperately want to see fair play in a sport where teams are so close in ability that a call or two not only changes a game, but can change a season, maybe we could call those who don't like poor officiating "whiners." Gone are the days of no instant replay, and attitudes like, "the officials are part of the game." That's nonsense. Trufant got clotheslined bu bad officiating on his first week back from injury, clotheslined dudes. You require near-perfection out of players and yet when a backjudge gets used as a pick by an offense who knows that grandpa can't get out of the way, we shrug our shoulders and say, "oh well. that's football." The NFL makes billions each year, how about some world class officiating?
