I found no specific freedoms the author considered threatened, just "your freedoms" in general. The article is emotional rant, nothing more.

Cause nothing says "Freedom" like denying claims.

Congress just isn't calling it what it is. If it is made mandatory, it's a tax. They are just disguising it with a new name. How else can you tell it's a tax? Well, if it is mandatory for everyone but there is a provision for people who don't make enough, well....now do ya get it?
