Event Details
Join us for a family-friendly nature program, hike our trails and then return for a delicious Mother's Day Tea complete with homemade sweet and savory fare!
There is nothing like a mother's love and wild animal mothers are no exception! From the deepest oceans to the leafy treetops - mothers are caring for their babies with patience and courage. Join us at IslandWood on Mother’s Day for a celebratory look at animal mothers and the work they do to build nests, provide food and keep those kids clean and safe.
After the 45 minute presentation, you may enjoy our grounds and trails with your family and then join us in the Dining Hall starting at 2:30pm for a delicious "high tea" time with satisfying snacks and tempting tarts. The presentation, given by a naturalist and mother of three, is family-friendly, so please bring your little ones!
