In conjunction with city-wide celebrations for Martin Luther King Jr. Day, the annual MLK Day Read-In will be held from 12:30-2:30 at Village Books on Monday, January 21. Parents are encouraged to bring their children ages 3-8 to join Western Washington University student volunteers in activities and reading stories on social justice themes. The MLK Day Read-In is a chance for children to celebrate and gain a deeper appreciation for Dr. King’s dream of equality and hope by engaging with these topics through literature and games with University students. Parents are welcome to participate.

More information about the MLK Day Read-In and other related events can be found by contacting Alyssa Jones at Alyssa.Jones@wwu.edu or 360.650.7542.
