On Thursday, February 14 Chef Ivan Szilak of the Collections Cafe will transform the Glasshouse at Chihuly Garden and Glass into a romantic setting for a multiple course dining experience. Set special for the occasion, guests will dine at intimate tables for two uniquely positioned under the dramatic Glasshouse sculpture while a jazz band provides a romantic soundtrack.
Chef Szilak's celebratory menu offers a selection of appetizers, starters and entrees; including oysters on the half shell, seared mini lobster tail over a salad of beet and citrus, roasted red pepper risotto, petrale sole with smoked almond cream and grilled eye of rib with sauteed artichoke hearts and house-cured pork and saffron potato hash. For dessert, a rustic fruit tart or Chef Szilak's deconstructed take on the classic s'more -- frozen chocolate custard and burnt marshmallow, finished with graham cracker crumble.
The Valentine's Day dinner includes a four-course dinner under the 1,340-piece Glasshouse sculpture at Chihuly Garden and Glass. Additionally, each two-some includes a bottle of wine from our chosen menu, valet for one vehicle, admission to the galleries and garden and a commemorative keepsake from The Bookstore.
