The Seattle-King County First Citizen Award, first presented in 1939, is a not-for-profit celebration of community service, leadership and philanthropy. The 75th honoree is NBA legend Lenny Wilkens, former Seattle SuperSonics player and coach, who has been called a tireless advocate for children and a “world citizen.” He is founder of the Lenny Wilkens Foundation, and the only individual with three inductions into the Basketball Hall of Fame. Past recipients of the prestigious First Citizen Award represent a cross-section of the prominent leaders and unsung heroes whose good deeds have touched countless lives while inspiring others to give back.
