The Beat the Burn 5K Run/Walk & Kids' Dash kicks-off with a siren start on Sunday, September 29th at 9:00 a.m. at the Alki Beach Statue of Liberty Plaza
on the scenic West Seattle waterfront. The 5K is open to all runners, walkers, fire fighters and family members of all ages.
This is a 'third alarm' call for help, so grab your running shoes and get ready for a good cause. The fire fighters need your support to meet the challenge to help send kids to Camp Eyabsut.
The proceeds from the 5K helps support Camp Eyabsut, the annual summer camp for young burn survivors ages 7-17. The name "Eyabsut" means, "To Rise Above Anything!" Our mission; "to enhance the self-esteem of every child and enrich their physical, social and psychological growth".
Come meet our firefighters partners, the Port of
Seattle Fire Department/Local 1257 firefighters and the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters Burn
Foundation, along with local businesses that help prevent, educate and support burn prevention in our
community. Working as a team, we can put out the flame.
