Warren Dykeman: I Might Exaggerate
Dykeman's mixed media drawings, collages and paintings weld layers of folk-like figurative imagery with typography and diagrammatic details into modern day hieroglyphics. His trademark, "awkward forms" , create irregular rhythms between shape, contrast, and boldly nuanced palettes. Stratums of idiosyncratic, silhouetted figures, random text and symbolism imply narrative, but for Dykeman these works are mainly about the strength and the skillfull balance of his compositions. This latest series is unapologetic, inspired, and often laced with an undercurrent of humor. Dykeman has received notable accolades with regional awards and press and has exhibited nationally at Aqua Art Miami and Art Basel.

John Audubon: Birds of America & Quadrupeds of North America
The Antique Print Department is excited to present an important collection of John James Audubon's Birds of America and The Quadrupeds of North America. Most are from J.T. Bowen's octavo sets of hand-colored lithographs printed at the middle of the 19th Century.
