Auburn Valley Creative Arts is staging its autumn auction benefit, "Just Dessert," taking place at Copper Fall's Restaurant at the City of Auburn Golf Course (29630 Green River Road SE, Auburn, WA) on October 19, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm. "Just Dessert ," will be an evening of assorted desserts and appetizers, local music, neatly wrapped in a fund raising event to benefit the work of Auburn Valley Creative Arts.

The event will spotlight Auburn Valley Creative Art artists' breadth of work at the silent and live auctions. Plus, one hot auction item is a week stay at a resort on The Big Island, Kona. The art genres will include metal art, wood art, paintings, textiles, jewelry, mixed media and glass art. In addition to the art work, local businesses have contributed gift certificates and items chosen perfectly for gift giving or personal enjoyment.

The other spotlight will be jazz/blues musician Paul Johnson, known for his expert guitar skills and ability to fill a room with one guitar. Johnson, plays locally at Zola's Cafe in Auburn and other locations in the Puget Sound area. Johnson performs and records with Darren Motamedy, a Las Vegas (and previous local) saxophone/wind musician who will perform at the City of Auburn's Sound Bites on August 1.

Brad Luce, national hydroplane race announcer, will emcee the event. Brad announces such hydroplane races such as SeaFair, Detroit, San Diego and will be great new addition to this event.

Desserts and appetizers will stream the buffet tables and there will be a no-host bar. Tickets for the event are $35 each and are available for purchase at the gallery or at: "This event will be an evening of elegance and fun," said AVCA Chairperson Marie Lyndemere, "Starting with dessert and ending with appetizers."
