AFWA (Accounting & Financial Women's Alliance) monthly dinner meeting with one hour of CPE will be held at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club on Tues Nov 19, 2013. Join us for this special Student Night Event! The topic of business etiquette is pertinent to all. Maribeth Evens, Manager at Robert Half Lynnwood Branch, will be addressing the timely topic of business etiquette in the workplace and how the Digital Age has changed some of the rules in this area.
Business Etiquette: The New Rules in a Digital Age – Is it OK to friend your boss? Can an e-mail mistake jeopardize your career? There are many gray areas when it comes to communicating in the digital age. This presentation provides guidelines on digital protocols in the workplace, including LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter, as well as traditional communication tools such as e-mail. Find out what executives say about etiquette in the workplace, and learn how to tend to your network in just five minutes a day. Audiences also will gain a better insight into their social networking style through an engaging quiz.
While this topic is pertinent to all Accounting students, it is particularly important for those nearing graduation and preparing to enter the work force.
Dinner begins at 6:00pm. Please make your reservations by November 12, 2013 at firstname.lastname@example.org. Nonmembers are always welcome, more info on www.northcascadesafwa.org
