Are you an admirer of the PNW landscapes? Then you’ll love Evergreen Art paintings by local artist Evan Whitehead. Native to Bellingham, Evan grew up in the foothills of Whatcom County and the North Cascade Range. He attended Sehome High School and Whatcom Community College, calling Bellingham his forever home and Mt. Baker his ‘backyard’ of natural beauty and internal inspiration. November 16 through January 4 Chuckanut Brewery & Kitchen at 601 W Holly St, Bellingham, is pleased to exhibit Evan’s wonderful Evergreen Art paintings once again!
A natural explorer and avid snowboarder and hiker, Evan’s love of Mt. Baker scenery and artistic insight is represented in a variety of light and authentic clarity. Evan utilizes the resources of the local mountains’ wild beauty to create original visual art for many to appreciate. As a self-taught artist he defines his subject matter in a variety of ways and paints the familiar expressive landscapes of Mt. Baker, surrounding Nooksack Valley foothills, and Mt. Shuksan in acrylic on a variety of display mediums, large and small including canvas, murals, walls, rock, wood, or fences.
