Seattle native and novelist Tina Bustamante returns to the Northwest from her new life in Chile to promote her locally inspired book, As Waters Gone By. Aimed at teens, this heartening book will be hitting the shelves on November 5th. The story takes place on Orcas Island, whose picturesque landscape is the perfect backdrop for this compelling story of hidden secrets. Ellie, the main character, moves to Orcas Island for the summer to stay with a family she does not know. It is here she enters into a web of hidden secrets that have the power to change her life. Readers will be reeled into this story, which explores the possibility of overcoming sorrow, “recalling it only as waters gone by.” Bustamante has scheduled local book signings for her new release. Be sure to check www.leapbks.net for the dates and locations to meet the author at participating Book stores.
