Partners In Health: Engage is a grassroots movement of a global health organization committed to improving the health of poor and marginalized people. Its mission is based on solidarity, rather than charity alone. Learn more about its mission and what we can do within our community to help support this organization in a fun evening at the bookstore with Jon Lascher, PIH Program manager in Haiti.
The event will take place in a "soup night" setting, as described in Maggie Stuckey's new book Soup Night: Recipes for Creating Community Around a Pot of Soup. This book, as well as others about Partners In Health and its founder Paul Farmer, will be available for purchase.
Free and open to the public. With a $10 donation to Partners in Health, you will recieve a reserved seat and a ticket book for tastes of soup donated by local restaurants. Buy your tickets in our store today!
